Numerous scuffles broke out between #OccupyHK protesters and anti-protesters at Admiralty earlier today after the police removed barricades while protesters were asleep and opened up some roads. Close to a hundred masked men, suspected to be triad members, approached the protest sites to remove the barricades while police stood by to let them do the job. Some protesters and even passersby were reportedly hit by anti-protesters. The masked men have left the scene as of now. Some anti-Occupy taxi drivers showed up in Admiralty, having allegedly been paid $2,000 each for a three-hour job to demand the opening of the roads. Meanwhile, the government has flat out refused the students request to open up the Civic Square and CY Leung stood by his decision not to step down while hes on a trip in Guangdong. Meanwhile, Apple Daily reporters were assaulted by thugs in an attempt to stop the newspapers publication.
