O.K. Bennett Supporters. Here is where we are. My Bubby and I have had the honor of setting with my dear daddy the biggest part of the day while my sweet mommy is refreshing. It has been peaceful and somewhat productive. He has required no Versed since around 7 a.m. so he is more alert and responding appropriately (just ask him... he will tell you that I am the prettiest girl hes got.) No really... he is getting better @ hand gestures and he clearly indicated that he wants the ventilator off but with some reinforcement from the kind clinicians here at the VA I think we have convinced him that it is only temporary and would never let him lay like this long term. No Morphine since around noon and when they suction it is clear. Oxygen is down to 40%. We are on track to hold up to our end of the deal to get this crap off of him tomorrow. GOD is SO good! Please continue to pray for us and dont forget to praise him for a miracle in the works.
