O.K. I started having severe chest pains late last night. So Scott called 911. But I reminded him, we hadnt finish paying for the last ride so he hung up and drove me to the E.R. They did an EKG, and as soon as they saw the results they wheeled me in the back right away. There were about 6 or 7 personnel waiting for me, and in my mind I was thinking, Uh-oh! Accucheck, blood draw, two large bore I.V.s, and a repeat EKG. (I hope they dont bill me for duplicate services). Two doctors review the EKG results, and the one says o.k.. lets get her a room! Im like Uh, my daughter has a dental appointment in the morning that weve waited a month to get. The doctor replied, Maam, we think your having a heart attack, your going straight to the cath. lab! I looked at Scott, who had tears in his eyes. I told him, Dont worry, if something happens to me, I have $5.00 tucked under my pillow for you. (He didnt think that was funny) Then two nurses jogged with me on a heart monitor on a cart with Scott right behind them. Im getting scared and wish they would have let me run on my own, and left the cart in the E.R. They wouldnt let Scott in the cath. lab. Another 5 people were waiting for me, some scrubbed in. Were going in through your arm. If thats unsuccessful, we will try the groin. My eyes got big and I said You have my permission to try twice on both arms first! After the procedure, I asked the doctor with one eye open did I have a heart attack. He said No, it was probably just indigestion! -Unfreakinbelievable!!!
