O.K. I will (since I am sitting in an airport lounge with a few hours to kill) at long last address the question I keep getting over and over about whether Ill do more television shows or not. Im not sure who among you is a TV viewer, but, if you are, you may have noticed that the networks, at least in North America, have been knee deep for the past several years in competition and reality shows. This type of television more or less involves people being unkind to each other, and/or generally obnoxious, and/or highly judgemental and self-congratulatory, and/or crass...depending on which side of the fence youre on...and, over all, phoney. I am not any of those things, I hope, and I dont want to pretend to be for the sake of television. Furthermore, I dont really see any genuine reality or competition within the reality and competition genres. So...if I do any TV again, it cant be on those terms. Sorry to report this to you nice people who would like more and who keep asking about it! What I want to make is TV thats a bit calm and relaxing and (God forbid) educational and inspiring. But, those are not qualities that television in our brave new world values. So...I dont know...Im sort of having more fun writing right now, but maybe Ill try to make some video on my own and post it on my site, just for fun. Let me mull that over for a bit, and Ill get back to you. Now, I have to dash...I have a flight ~ xo, Laura
