O.K. Yall know i dont be trying to get all philosophical with yall but I feel this needs to be said after a conversation about my belief in evolution i had today. The evidence for God is not that we cant understand the laws of physics. Its that we CAN understand the laws of physics. Why should a universe exist that follows complex laws and rational, moral, intelligent beings exist in that universe who are capable of understanding those laws? If evolution is true which it is and we are rearranged pond scum, why would it be at all likely that we could discover and comprehend the deep mathematical laws of physics - or that the universe should even be governed by such laws? Everything about it cries out that the universe was created by an Intelligence of deep mathematical genius, Who gave his creatures minds that could understand His handiwork and situated them in a way that they could discover the laws of nature and observe the depths of space. There are enough concepts, proven and unproven theories in astrophysics alone that one could say that there are countless ways for life to not arise on this planet. but it did and not just bacterial life which we know thanks to Apollo missions can survive in the vacuum of space but complex highly intellectual life forms such as ourselves if we thought of the prove of God as a search for a suspect that we would have to conclude that there are far to many coincidences for there not to be an intelligent hand at work. To me God is the who and math and science is our understanding of the how. You know for everything we know about evolution we still cant explain the rise of the abstract mind with without physics, math, and every idea that led to the ingenuity setting us apart form the rest of the animal kingdom including religion would not be possible. the very first line in the book of genesis says In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. and for the next 1500 pages or so goes on about the life of mankind on earth. So Yes i believe there is life outside our planet. aside from a mathematical probability of it i just find it amusing that if i were reading the latest novel by Tom Clancy in which he set up two different settings in the very beginning then spent the next 98% of the book focusing mainly on the characters in one I would feel like there was so much more to the story that I wasnt getting IN CLOSING: I feel like people who believe the world is only 5000 yrs old and dinosaurs didnt exist and evolution is a hoax science is wrong about the cell, DNA, RNA, Gravity, the atom protons, neutron, and electrons. The Speed of Light and everything from Newtons Three Laws of Motion to quantum mechanics is all bullcrap oh and life does not exist on other worlds must pray to a very small god compared to mine
