O.k..... I am hoping someone here on Campers Chat may be able to help with a question that we have regarding port susan camping club. According to the park manager at the annual board meeting, we were informed that this being tribal land snohomish county taxes would no longer be collected from us. Today we received a bill from the county. When contacting the county assessor, he informed us that there are 2 types of land here inside the port susan park. He told us there is tribal land, and non-tribal land in the park perimeter. The County Assessor said he would have to forward our inquiry to another department for dispute, as our lot is not showing on tribal land?? When we purchased our lot, we were informed we are indeed on tribal land and that we would relinquish our lot in 2052 to the Tulalip Tribe. I called the administration office to verify that there was indeed tribal versus non-tribal land here in port susan camping club. The person I spoke with said they did not believe it was anyones job there in the office to know whether there is non-tribal land or not in the park itself, that we would need to sort this out with the county??? Has anyone else heard of non-tribal land in the park? :-/
