OAKLAND RESIDENTS: This is your animal control director :-( Oakland County Animal Control Director Bob Gatt Believes Killing Healthy Cats is a Solution In an interview with the Oakland Press, Bob Gatt, mayor of Novi and director of Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center, explains why he believes that healthy community cats are better off dead, on the dime of the hard-working taxpayers of Oakland County. This antiquated, myth-filled belief system has no place in animal welfare. This line of thinking is an embarrassment to Oakland County, Michigan. The animals and taxpayers of Oakland County deserve a shelter director who is knowledgeable, educated on issues and compassionate. We deserve a leader who cares about animals and who will challenge backwards, close-minded thinking such as this, instead of embracing it.
