OGUN INAUGURATES COMMITTEE ON FAKE CERTIFICATES Ogun State Head of Service, Mrs. Modupe Adekunle, has inaugurated a 7 member committee that will look into issues of irregularities in career progression and presentation of fake certificates leveled against some officers in the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) and Gateway City Development Company Limited (GCDCL) Inaugurating the committee headed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Mr. Oluremi Obayomi, the Head of Service, charged them to discharge their duties with utmost seriousness it deserves. According to her, the need to ensure standard in the administrative procedures coupled with various allegations against some officials of the agencies necessitated the setting up of the committee, urging it to do a thorough job. Responding the Chairman of the committee, Mr. Obayomi assured that the committee would be thorough in its assignment and act without fear or favour to justify the confidence repose in the members. The committee among other things will look into computerization of data of all staff of the agencies concerned and verify their certificates. It will also examine the process of appointments of staffs from inception to date and report / recommend according to its findings the authenticity of certificates. The committee which has four weeks to complete its assignment has Engr. L.O Oyewunmi, Mr. S.O Adesanya, Mr. A.M Towolawi, Mr. N.O Abdul, and Mr. Ogundeji Abiodun as members while Miss O.O Osokoya is to serve as the Secretary.
