RINGSIDE AT DEL MAR Next Live Professional Boxing Event Del Mar Fairgrounds - Friday, April 11, 2014 8pm The Return of Mercito No Mercy Gesta DEL MAR, CA (March 19, 2014) - Paco Presents and A&T GYM in association with Don Chargin and San Diego-based Barron Entertainment announced today that former world title challenger Mercito No Mercy Gesta (26-1, 14 KOs) will be featured in the main event of the second installment this year of the popular Ringside at Del Mar boxing series on April 11 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The eight-round main event will feature Gestas highly-anticipated return to the ring for the first time in over a year in a Lightweight division contest sure to attract legions of his devoted fans. Gesta, who resides in San Diego, by way of Mandaue City in the Cebu province of the Philippines, is eager to get back in the ring since his last fight, a pay-per-view televised world title bout against Miguel Vasquez on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez IV. The time is right to get back in the ring and show the world that I can still compete at the championship level, said Gesta. Although I dont know who my opponent is at the moment, Im ready for anyone they put in front of me. Ive had time to reflect on my loss to Miguel Vasquez, which was a great learning experience, and have vowed to come back stronger than ever. San Diego is my second home so Im super excited to be making my return to the ring at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. All my family and friends can come see me fight.
