OGUN STATE TODAY Now that OGDs political son, Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka GNI has been named by INEC as the Ogun state PDP guber candidate, i would love to ask GNI some questions which should be answered so that the good people of Ogun state will know whether to vote for him or not. It is very important to remind the good people of ogun state that GNI was part of the 8 year rule of the former governor OGD. He was a very important part of the inner caucus of the government at that time which made him earn a very sensitive position as the head of the gateway holdings and later presented by OGD as the PDP guber aspirant. Due to the internal wranglings within the then PDP, OGD took his political son GNI to a new party called the PPN where GNI flew the partys gubernatorial flag in 2011. Having said all these and established the fact that GNI was an inseperable part of the OGD government, i would love to ask what GNIs views were during the following trying periods under the OGD which i would list below... MR GNI SIR, WHAT WERE YOUR VIEWS/REACTION/ADVICE.... 1. When the OGD/GNI/PDP government couldnt pay retired civil servants their pension and gratuities between 2008 - 2011 totalling over N7.5BN? And now whats your reaction to the fact that the govt of SIA/APC has cleared that backlog of pension and gratuities? 2. What was your reaction when over 50 doctors resigned from OOUTH between 2007 - 2011 and others that were left went on strike for 9 months thereby leading to the collapse of the states teaching hospital. When no govt hospital had an x ray machine, mammogram etc for 8 years? And now what is your reaction when the SIA/APC govt released a sum of N100m to save OOUTH, employed more doctors and health workers and most importantly equipping the hospitals across the state, renovated over 100 primary health care centers etc? 3. What was your reaction when the OGD/GNI/PDP govt which you were part of created higher institutions with ZERO take off grant and as a result owed them salaries between 13 - 19 months? And what was your reaction when SIA/APC government started clearing the backlogs of such salaries and paying subventions? 4. What was your reaction when the state was faced with the highest level of insecurity since its creation thereby leading the incesant bank robberies with the state not augumenting the firepower of the police via the governors security vote? And what were your views when the govt of SIA/APC massively improved the security of the state via the setting up of the state security trust fund, purchase of 200 patrol vans, 13 state of the art Armoured Personnel Carriers, advanced communication gadgets etc? 5. GNI sir, what were your views/reactions when a govt you were part of was blacklisted by UBEC via SUBEB for not paying the UBEC counterpart funds from 2008 - 2011 which led to serious decay in the infrastructures of the primary and JSS schools? Also what was your reaction when your govt increased the tertiary school fees by over 300%?And what were your views/reaction when the SIA/APC government in Ogun State cleared and paid those backlogs of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 thereby leading to renovation of over 2,000 blocks of classrooms, provision of over 35,000 tables and chairs for students and teachers, construction of over 350 new blocks of classrooms etc? And what was your reaction when SIA/APC govt reduced tertiary school fees first by 10% and further between 30 - 60%? 6. GNI sir, what was your reaction to the fact that the government you were part of never bought directly agricultural equipment and stopped paying counterpart funds to the bank of agric which made life very unpleasant for the state farmers? And what were your reactions when you heard and saw that the present govt of SIA/APC purchase tractors, bulldozers, harrows, planters worth N500m for farmers and paid N500m counterpart fund for ogun state farmers to access N1bn bank of agric loan which has made life very good for them? 7. What was your reaction when your government failed to pay counterpart funds to bank of industry so that SMEs could access single digit loans? And sir what were your reactions when the SIA/APC govt paid the counterpart fund of N500m for SMEs top access the N1bn loan facility? 8. GNI sir, what was your advice or reaction as a financial guru when your governments maximum IGR was N730m for 8 years? And what was your reaction when the govt of SIA/APC hit the N6bn monthly IGR mark in 3 and half years? 9. What was your reaction when your government chose to purchase fairly used cars for transport? And the SIA/APC govt purchased 150 brand new cars for transport and setting up of the Bus Mass Transit with 50 brand new 18seater bus and 20 brand new luxurious buses? 10. GNI sir, what was the reaction of your govts low industrial penetration due to insecurity and world bank report of 2010 which ranked ogun state worst state for business? And what is your reaction when the latest world bank report ranked ogun state as the top 3 states to invest under the SIA/APC govt and the commissioning of over 45 factories under this present govt? 11. GNI sir, how would you react or what was your reaction when your government of OGD/GNI/PDP failed to carry out promotion for teachers and civil servants between the years 2008 - 2011? And the SIA/APC govt cleared that from 2008 - 2014? 12. GNI sir, what was your reaction to the level of decay in infrastructure and its collapse which led them into a state of comatose between 2003 - 2011 where road construction failed in less than 3 months after construction and fanfare commissioning? Why is there no major road which can be attached to your govt in 8 years which is still standing the test of time. at least 1 major road per senatorial district sir? And sir, what is your reaction to the massive urban renewal and infrastructural development under the SIA/APC govt? 13. Sir as the chairman of gateway holdings under the PDP/OGD governemnet, can you tell us about the iron rod fraud which you were accused of by your new godfather Buruji kashamu and the N2.8bn loan which you secured for the construction of the gatewat holding HQ which today remains a bush? 14. What were your views when the state heritage were given out to friends and cronies at ridiculous terms? What are your reactions when this govt of SIA/APC revoked some like the gateway hotel ota which is currently housing the biggest mall in Nigeria and the renegotiating of others like the gateway hotel ota which has now been turned to a 5 star hotel soon to be commissioned? 15. What was your reaction when your government sacked massively lecturers of OOU in 2009 sir? 16. GNI sir, your government accessed the $10m world bank loan for water projects, where are the water projects sir? What will you say about the govt of SIA/APC that has massively improved water situation with water expanding to 30 new areas across the state without millions of dollars from world bank? 17. What reason would you give for the failure of the multi billion naira markets in sagamu and owode which were overgrown by bushes right before the end of your administration? And what would you say about the new marker construction via urban renewal in sapon, itoku and omida by the SIA/APC govt? 18. GNI sir, why would you need a boundary commission to develop our border towns when the success of the SIA/APC govt at border towns via PITA leading to increased IGR and massive infrastructral development in magboro, arepo, sango, ojodu, alagbole and many more was simply from a government waking up to its responsibilities? 19. What were your views when a government you were part of returned schools back to the missionaries which caused high school fees and made over 20,000 students drop out to already over populated schools? And what were your reactions when the SIA/APC government reveresed the decision so as to prepare for those 20,000 students that might drop out by building model schools of high standard? 20. What were your views/reactions when your govt consessioned the agriculture and forestry assets of this state in questionable terms and firms which further crippled these assets after 8 years of neglect? And what is your reaction to this government reversing such steps, reviving them, setting up agricultural estates in kotopo, establishing rice plantaion in Eggua and many more to diversify the economy, create jobs and boost revenue? With the 20 questions above, would it be correct to say GNI would be running Ogun State the way he has learnt to run it from is political father OGD? If not would he be admitting that the OGD/PDP regime was a mistake which the good people of Ogun State made? That would lead us to the next topic... MORE TO COME....
