OH MY GOD. So Kat got an email through from her old insurance company saying she failed to mention a speeding fine to them so have added it to her policy and charged her £45 for the inconvenience, and another saying she failed to disclose about a claim too, so charged £65 to add to the policy... SHE HADNT EVEN RENEWED WITH THEM and had already gone elsewhere!!!! She checked her bank and sure enough the old policy had automatically renewed at a cost of £234, so she had two insurance policies running!!! We rang them up and they cancelled and are going to fully refund, but... The speeding fine was the same one on the old policy... But when I put MY details in go compare for MY car, our dates of the speeding fine slightly differed (on go compare) so they had it down as 2 fines!!! Not a massive problem, as she hasnt renewed and it was a mistake its void... But, the claim turns out to be a NO CLAIM that was added to MY policy back in JULY when my Polo got damaged by someone else. All I did was ring my insurance for advise, and they logged it as a NO CLAIM meaning that although no claim was made, I have had an accident so it puts my premium up!!!! And... Because Im a named driver on her policy... Hers goes up aswell!! For somebody slightly catching my car in a carpark!!! She doesnt have to pay them anymore as they have cancelled the renewal, but apparently we both now need to mention every time either of us renew, that someone else caught the corner of my car once in a carpark and we didnt put it through insurance, otherwise we face a penalty. ABSOLUTE NAZIS.
