OJaamong and Namwamba clash By Victor Ochieno War of words between Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba and Busia county governor Sospeter Ojaamong intensified with Ojaamong calling on Namwamba to grow up and behave maturely. Ojaamong criticised Namwamba for decriditing and unfairly accusing Busia county elected leaders and county executive memebers. Last Friday Namwamba accused the county government of failing to serve the people and instead concentrate on showing off their big titles and mighty, Whatever you call yourself, devolution is not about big titles, its not about the governor having a governors numberplate on his vehicle but serving people who elected them, said Namwamba at Madende primary during the home coming party for John Bunyasi. He also said there was nothing like ministers in the county as some people were calling themselves Apart from the Madende speech where deputy governor Kizito Wangalwa was in attendance, Ojaamong may have also been angered by Namwambas attempt to block county Executive member for Trade Hillary Makhulu from investigating a multi-million scandal at Magombe multi-purpose cooperative society three weeks ago. At one point Namwamba allegedly wrote a short message to Makhulu through the phone saying, If that is your style of doing things then you will not go far But Namwamba, according to reliable sources, differed with the county government after Ojaamong failed to honour his pledge to offset a 1.2 nillion shillings electricity bill in Budalangi which had led to locals staying for over three months without clean water after Kenya Power disconnected electricity at the water station in Port Victoria. But a source close to Ojaamong claimed Namwamba was angered after Budalangi was left out on the allocation of positions at the county government.
