OK, I have been lurking for some time looking at pictures of your fit dogs and have been too embarrassed to post until now. This is my service dog Zero. He WAS in shape at one point but got fat and I really didnt notice just how fat he had gotten because of all his fluff... Ive been working the past couple months with him on diet with green beans and pumpkin and increasing his exercise. Hes definitely not where I want him to be yet, but hes showing some improvement, can see his waist now at least. He was on a raw prey model diet before, the past month I switched him to Orijen, Ive decided to go back to raw once the bag runs out. He is a 22-month old Alaskan Malamute. Before and after pics. (teeth showing in before picture because he was starting to yawn) Any more suggestions to help him get in shape are welcome... I live in an apartment so no fenced yard, the apartment complex has declined to allow me to use the treadmills for him, and Im not comfortable taking him to dog parks because of other dogs going after him sometimes. I do take him in the apartment basement and let him play offleash there to get some running in.
