OK, I may take a lot of flack for this, but Im just going to come right out and say it. Chip Wilson is right…Lululemon is not appropriate for all body types! Tight spandex is not a good look for MANY women, not just the overweight ones! Part of the problem is that women have a specific size in mind and insist on wearing it. They insist on a 4 even though a 6 or 8 would fit better! Ladies, listen up! Just because a fabric will stretch up two sizes does not mean it should!!!! If you stretch that lycra to the max it will look BAD and wear out fast!!! Now, having said that, Lululemon could design a line for plus size women. If the sizing is appropriate and the cut accommodates your size then it will look fine! I am plus size and I have a couple of Lululemon pants that fit great and look fine. (they have only one or two styles that will fit me) I take more umbrage at the fact that Lululemon does not want to create a plus size line because that is not what they are about. They want to have their brand on fit, slim women. That is where the shame is! What is so great about sewing your own clothes is that you can make them out of beautiful fabric and make them FIT! Also, once you start learning about fabrics and fit you start to recognize it in ready to wear!
