OK!!! I see my post on GOOD teachers in the FUSD went over really good. Thank you everyone for that. Now, lets do this one........Name a teacher, or teachers, that you feel should have NEVER been a teacher at all. Whether it be because they didnt have the patience for the job, they were condescending to students, or that you know for a fact they did something to a student that should have never happened. Here is mine. It was my third grade teacher at Fremont Elementary School. Her name was Mrs. Macananny (spelling?) In many ways that woman was very mean. She would yell at us for unfair things, talk to us in a very condescending way, and allow students in the class to pick on other students in the class. Its like she forgot that she was teaching kids that were no older then 9 years old. Now, for people who read this, and were in her class the same time I was, which was the 68-69 school year, I admit I could have put out a stronger effort then what I did. However, at the age of 8 or 9, you have a very impressionable mind, and it can be molded very easy. When you get spoke to like she spoke to some of us, you tend to get a low self-esteem and inferiority complex problem. I know I could have made a stronger effort then what I did, but, in my head I wasnt smart enough to do better. I remember when she would write stuff on the board during Social Studies, and other subjects, and we were to write what she was writing. She would go so fast we would ask her to slow down. She would stop to let us catch up, but, she would stand there and say, in a very condescending voice, OK, everybody. Lets wait until the pokies catch up.............. I was so happy when that school year was over. I didnt have to be in her class anymore. Im not saying that the rest of my teachers that I had through the rest of my school years were perfect, but, they were angels compared to her.
