OK...It looks like about a dozen Central Region riders are coming to Tevis, plus about another half dozen from east of the Mississippi. We brave pioneers have discovered an amazing thing about our national highway system. To our surprise, They run eastbound as well as west bound!! They have lanes in both directions..amazing! What this means to Endurance riders in the western part of the USA, is that you CAN haul your horses to an Eastern ride. In times past, you had to put them on a ship and send them through the Panama Canal and then on to an Eastern or southern port. But now you can put them in your trailer and drive here. Apparently, we have had these good roads running east for some time now. So......Ozark Trail, 75 or 100 Miles... point to point... not for wimps or whiners......lots of small hills,....it is Tevis for those with a fear of heights..... September 27th, starting near Steeleville Missouri, ending up near Black Missouri.. should have fall foliage and cool temps....You will have had plenty of time to get your horse rested and your panties unwadded after Tevis...... $150 entry fee.... free buckle for 100 mile completion... If you would like, we can find you a free place to layover your horse for a month so you can go to Texas on October 30th for the AERC National Championship.
