OK...about an hour ago I decided to see how Steves burn pile was going and saw him surrounded in grass fire...I put on my work boots and ran out and started stomping on the flames, he was hitting it with a shovel, he ran to get the hose, I was stomping and within seconds was surrounded in knee high flames by the kerosene bucket, threw it out of the flames, ran to the house and helped him pull the hose out, then back and forth with buckets, then called 911, then back out to fight it...fire department showed up and got the grass contained within 40 feet of the house and woods...they wanted to take care of me because I was breathing so hard...now, I am in the house, Steve is watching the smoldering pile...within seconds our whole world could have changed...my work boots are fireproof I found out...Holy moly and thank you Lord.
