Once a year, my partner in crime and I head off into the dark, cold, bitter night to get The Best Deals (according to the ads) for Christmas! YES, Its The Annual Black Friday Shopping Trip, which began at 7 pm on Thanksgiving Night this year. Our first stop, Morganfield Walmart; So Many Cars and No Place To Park... We decided to just drive thru parking lot and head into Henderson Walmart, but first what did we see? It was Jason Stone, what a Trooper he was, he fought thru all the Tru Blue Deal Getters and came out with some Thirst Quenchers! Now as we travel the darkness on toward our first stop, we park the vehicle and Dash toward our Prizes, we call Christmas Gifts! We get a few things on our list and a few impulse buys too.. Now crossing the bridge and a couple more stores, we are needing to stop for much needed nourishment to our bodies and some COFFEE.. IHOP it is, as we Finish our Fine Midnight Breakfast, we are already planning for our next strategic shopping stops...Between Restroom Stops and Grabbing Those Deals, we are already thinking that we are probably gonna need Morning Breakfast and some more of that COFFEE, this time at Bob Evans. Off we go to Gordmans, Target, The Mall, Mernards (no parking and we would have walked a mile to get there and just for a couple of Beanies) Kohls, Hobby Lobby, Kirklands, Toys R Us, and probably a few we dont remember....no way we could go back across the bridge with out stopping at GFS! Back across the Bridge we come.....had to make a stop at Norris Hardware for a Case XXX Knife, a visit at the Hospital to check on Clay, Autumn, and Baby Bo, stopped by a few downtown shops and Last Stop RURAL KING... Now by this time we are really starting to wear down.... We go in, get that Delicious Popcorn and do our last bit of shopping for the day, I check out and walk on to the truck and begin putting my cart full of Goodies in. In the distance coming out of the store, Kim is exiting the building and heads to the truck for the last time of this yearly trip, I continue to finish loading my stuff and look up and to my surprise....there was No Kim! As I scan the parking lot, I find My Dear Lost Friend, she is headed to Another White 4 Door Truck (not mine) and opens the back door to put her last purchases in and To Her Surprise and the Complete Stranger in Drivers Seat, she then realized, WRONG TRUCK! I am Now Laughing My A** Off!!! She now is Headed my way and Im Laughing so hard, I could pee my pants!!! We now both load up and are laughing so hard, just wondering what that little old lady thought? I see in the near future, we may have to insist our daughters go along to take care of us and get us home safe and sound! Did we save any money? Maybe, Maybe Not! But We Always Have Plenty of Fun and Lots of Laughs Along The Way! Cant Wait Till Next Year!
