OK, here is a follow up post about my involvement with the Blues Foundations museum that is going to open in the Spring. Two representatives of the Blues Foundation came to my house and we looked at photographs and talked for about two hours. Their proposal is for me to give them 36 photographs which they will frame and hang in a gallery at their museum. My photographs will be separate and not mixed in with others. They will all be for sale at a price to be determined and I will make any print and send it to the buyer while the exhibit is still hanging. The time period will be from their opening in the Spring through approximately September or October. We looked at about 200 or more images while they were here so 36 was sort of a compromise figure that seemed reasonable. I am hopeful that this exhibit will lead to others. All and all, we seem to have a working agreement that fits both parties. I feel that choosing 36 out of my collection will be difficult but its a wonderful problem to have.
