OK, heres a little bit of my day, and the idea behind posting this is not for me to get a pat on the back, definitely not what I want, so please no comments like that..as most of you know I live alone so holidays are different when youre single, holidays, while special, they are usually just another day..I walk to the grocery store to get my sandwich several times a week, its a over 2 miles, and today I was ambling along down the alley with my sandwich from Subway when I walked past a very dirty man sitting on the ground, leaning against the wall, a bottle of water on the ground next to him....something about that bottle bothered me, as I thought that might be all he would have today..I reached into my wallet, grabbed some money, more than enough for him to get something to eat, and told him Happy Thanksgiving..he smiled, didnt say anything and took the money, reached into his pocket and pulled out the two dollars he had and put all the money back in his pocket..so, on a day to give thanks, thank you God for having me walk past that man, thank you for me being in a position to help him a little, and thanks to my mom and dad, who were both generous people..
