OK heres something you can do as we await more news from the Labor camp about whether their Junction funding is to include the Saints. One of the reasons Labor didnt agree to dual occupancy of the Junction was that local member and Saints man Martin Foley was hearing from concerned locals about possible impacts on loss of open space, parking and other concerns that any building and fencing might mean. But he probably didnt hear so much from local residents or traders about the great aspects of getting their AFL club back in the area. So as the election dust settles and everyone gets back to business, nows a great time to let Martin know your thoughts. If you are from outside the area, you could let him know how a saints presence will bring you into the area for training and potentially games in otherwise dead winter, and how much you are likely to stay on to enjoy what St.Kilda and surrounds has to offer. His details are on his website below. And please let others know too! :)
