OK so I think I should give everyone who is out of touch with this year in music a general summary of what went down so here goes: - swedish rapper iggy azalea became an international sensation with her crossover hits all about that bass, 0 to 100 and turn down for what. however she received an almost equally strong backlash after making violent threats against lana del rey in a freestyle. - punch collaborated with nofx (much like their 2011 collaboration with screeching weasel). it was released via uploading into the libraries of all iTunes users. - chief keef and trinidad james left ymcmb and formed a supergroup with david grohl and lady gaga called team sleep. they are slated to release a series of mixtapes called rich gang: the tour which will feature spoken interludes from lil b. - folk singer ot genasis became the only artist this year to have a platinum record with his debut album, unknown memory -and finally, great tragedy: death grips broke up after mc ride inexplicably became a racecar. rumour has it that robert pattison became angry with the group for not reaching out to collaborate further after their song birds and conspired against them with beyonce and og maco, using evil magic to transform mc ride into the vehicle. unable to do anything except make racing sounds, racecar mc ride was recorded one final time before their break up: on the unfinished track inanimate sensation. their music will be missed. and that was this year in music. was i close guys?
