OK, we got asked what happened last night too many times: Here goes... We were not the headliners, we were the opening act. Weve been on tour for a year and havent done a show in LA for a LOOOONG time. The Event Organizer didnt know too much about us. They wanted to put us on the side stage - (there wasnt one that we saw). Our tech rider was messed up - only 4 mics. The radio station didnt have us on the 1st run of spots. We requested an area for a post show meet & greet and was denied. Show started at 5pm. Our fans showed up at 5am. A few hundred of them with signs. The Event Producer decided to let us play the main stage around noon as they didnt understand who all these crazy fans were. By soundcheck, we brought our own mics. When Fox TV went live, the Juliets were already chanting for us. At 5pm, we had thousands going crazy. At 5:25, we couldnt even walk to the bathroom as security wouldnt let us take a step from our green room as they felt wed insight a riot. 2 dozen cops were called. We had 1000 people waiting in our merch line for us and we were not allowed to say hello to them. We tried, and well, that didnt go over too well. Sorry to those who were caught in that. We have an I Survived An After Romeo Show Shirt for you. Our manager almost got arrested. The mall cops and Jonnie wont be sending Christmas cards anytime soon. The mayor invited us to perform at the Citys 45th Anniversary Event. We told our fans to meet us at a Carls Jr parking lot right outside the mall so we can say thank you for driving from Vegas, San Diego, Arizona, and SF. And heres the news piece. Next year, maybe we can do our Meet & Greet or at least get to do a longer set :) bit.ly/1zG7z2f
