OLD MACDONALD HAD SOME DRUMS, EE-I-EE-I-O…. The Yachats River Valley Farm Tour on Saturday [August 24], is now in its third year and it’s a wonderful event on its own, but this year you can also top off your free tour of seven working farms along the Yachats River Road with a free, all ages, open drum circle lead by the Newport Drum Circle Ensemble! We will be at a South Fork cattle ranch near the end of the tour that specializes in grass fed beef. The free tours are a chance for city folks to see how country folks live, in the beautiful Yachats River Valley. Bring your drum! Baked goods, coffee, and soft drinks will be available at the farm (donations accepted), along with hiking trails and river access. The tours open at 10:00 a.m., the drumming starts about noon (with a boom boom here and a boom boom there…) and will continue till about 4:00. The Ranch, 10740 South Fork River Road, Yachats.
