Tarwoyouberkowu Gwoah ==================================================== I doubt we, Grand Gedeans will ever have an organization that will attend to the aims and aspirations that funneled us to organize. Lately in January 2014, I wrote expressing my optimism about the formation of Tchien District Development Association in the America (TDDAA). I was unambiguously sure that TDDAA was going to be or do business differently from the many organizations in our community because the founding members and intern leadership were old hands in the business of community organizing or organizations. I THOUGH they have seen and experienced those short comings and/or mistakes that engulfed the many organizations in our community. But I was WRONG!!!!! This newly formed and infantile organization is sadly and regrettably warbling in the footsteps of the many, if not all its predecessor organizations. The leadership has carried over self-elevated identity problem that overwhelmingly takes precedence over doing the organization work. The Chairman, Torh Gbayor, who lost vote of confidence in his own Chiefdom by his kinsmen and was sorrowfully and heavy-handedly defeated by Reeves Vincent in the Nao Presidential election, sees TDDAA as a conduit to achieve and perpetuate his self-elevated identity. In partnership is Y. Michael Gilman, a onetime plummeted and abandoned Membership Committee Chairman and Campaign manager of the RUSH team that elected Tillman Collins to power. These two are so much fixated in flushing themselves with TITLES as they Nicodemusly perambulate the corridors of TDDAA as democratic saints in total reluctant undertaking the organization business. Under Torh Gbayor and Y. Michael Gillman leadership, the organization had a convention in which a drafted constitution was debated and adopted and concomitantly passed a resolution in which they crowned themselves with titles-A resolution to called Torh Gbaryor president. This is a complete violation and circumvents the constitution only to achieve the aim of Gbaryor and Gilman self-gratifications of self-elevated identity. Article VIII Section 1 of TDDAA Constitution spells out how we can have or elect our Presidents, but to pass a resolution to crown yourself PRESIDENT is a bridge of same. It is like shooting yourself in the leg. This brings to point of asking series of questions: Why the rush? What is the importance and rationale for doing this? What value does this add to the organization in an embryonic stage? This to me is a classic exhibition of insincerity and desperation on the part of these two. They have all the time in world to register the organization and obtain an EIN to be able open an account but choose and prioritize elevating themselves while the organization goes without a BANK ACCOUNT in its name. As I write, the group or organization money is kept in individual member’s account. What a disgrace and shame.
