OMER COUNTING PEOPLE: we have a unique opportunity over the next 50 days; an opportunity for transformation. Let me ask you: are there any defects of character in your life (YOUR life, not someone elses life) that you would like to change? Are you impatient? Quick to criticize and slow to extend mercy? Do you fall apart at the moment of crisis or is that when the Word planted within you takes hold and you turn it all over to God? Do you have difficulty taking ownership for your part in relationship issues? Are your finances or health not as you would like and are you struggling with God? Are you afraid of the future? If any of these or any other things like this apply to you, congratulations! We have fifty days, FIFTY DAYS to cast ourselves on the mercy of God and to participate in the transformation process. Be aware that if you ask Him, He WILL put you into the classroom of His choosing to accomplish His will. It is not going to be easy to break free from our old habits, but He has given us every tool we need for victory! Lets break out of our own personal patterns of slavery to sin, slavery to self, slavery to self-righteousness, slavery to blaming others, slavery to gossip, slavery to unbelief, slavery to fear, slavery to repetitive negative thinking, slavery to standing against God! This season is about far more than counting! For the caterpillar to become a butterfly, it becomes total goo in that little chrysalis. Are you willing to become goo or are you going to try to do it your way? Do you want to fly or not? The decision is yours.
