OMG...I just printed out the study materials for the written test to get my commercial drivers license...pages, and pages to read and KNOW. Makes me wish I had kept mine from the late 80s instead of letting it lapse. Damn, knowledge is good and contributes to safety but this is intense (well it seems so from the stack of paper, maybe not so much once I buckle down and start reading it)...sure hope my brain can absorb it. I am going to dip my toes in the bus driver pond and see if it is something I will tolerate well...mainly dealing with entitled little children whose parents have not done their jobs. My policy is that I will respect the kids but I EXPECT the same courtesy, we shall see what shakes out. If that fails, I can always drive dump trucks right? Did it before can do it again.
