Your Daily Dose of Pathos What an eventful morning! While feeding the birds, I accidentally left the door to the cage unlatched (and the door was only mostly closed). Naturally, one of the birds decides that TODAY IS THE DAY! THIS is the day that he is going to spread his wings and fly, free from the cruel shackles placed upon him by his human overlords. For approximately 45 minutes, my little avian Frank Morris leads me on a merry chase throughout the living room, kitchen, and laundry room, pausing every so often to land on some impromptu perch and look back with his beady little birdy eyes and lob looks of disdain and mockery at the fat hairless ape clumsily stumbling about and trying to rob him of his new found freedom. Relishing his ability to steal time from my schedule, the bird carries on. But this little fowl suburban dramedy is now rapidly approaching its denouement.
