OMG!! I remember sharing Maria Kristinas awesome transformation last month.. and look at her now!! Talk about Confidence huh? She lost 126 lbs.. and took on this Challenge onto a whole new level! Her update story is worth a read!! ***Overcoming the Fears that Prevent Your Happiness*** “ I’m sure many people can relate with the fear of failure, the dread of working hard and being denied what we want. After all, who wants to work for little or sometimes no progress? Yet worse, the feeling of shame, humiliation, and guilt after giving in to cheat meals and giving up all together, and knowing that we have to start all over again. This was the vicious cycle that I lived and empowered me until I finally “got it.” “Overcoming my Fear” After years of losing weight and quickly gaining it back, I knew that it was time for me to stop looking back, and keep my head up high . I joined Push Up 2 Pin Ups back in 2010 with no intentions of what I would be experiencing in the next two years. My life and perspective on what it meant to be healthy completely changed. It’s true when they say being healthy and fit is a lifestyle. I wish I could say that this transition was easy, but it wasn’t. I had to find balance between my family, friends, signifiant other, and working and going to school full time. My progress was slow, and I feared that my hard work wasn’t enough. At one point, I almost gave up and tried to convince myself that I was meant to be obese and overweight. However, with the support from LaTasha, Ginnie, and my fellow Pin Ups, I continued to strive and inspire myself. And once I was able to inspire myself, other parts in my life started to come together. I became happy and found confidence I never knew I had in me. Fast forward to two years later, I competed in my first bikini competition. It was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, yet the most rewarding and best feeling I have ever felt! Of course, there were times when I doubted myself. But like everything in life, there’s a process we must go through to reach a goal, and so therefore I trusted the process. Once I stepped on that stage, I’ve never felt so proud. I felt proud of myself, and proud for being a part of such an amazing team! Go Team Push Up 2 Pin Ups! My experience with P2P goes beyond working out and losing, its about growing in life to be a better me. “ - Maria Kristina
