OMG...This is SO freaking ridiculous. Ever tried calling the bureaus? TransUnion, Experian or Equifax? They each hold your financial future in their hands, yet it is next to impossible to speak with a human being. I started calling Friday and am still in the process. The easiest one was Experian and that was a nightmare. Somehow, somewhere along the way some dispute wording was placed on my credit report and it needs to be taken off in order to obtain a mortgage. I never requested that this info be put on my report, but it is there. You would think it would be simple enough to take off and it probably would be if you could speak with someone. Right now, Im on hold with TransUnion and have been for 28 minutes. It was fairly quick getting a hold of a human this morning, however, she couldnt speak English. I told her I couldnt understand her numerous times, then I told her to speak more slowly, then she got things turned around and said she would put the dispute wording ON my accounts. I finally told her that I wanted her to STOP talking and find me a supervisor. She did...he sounded the same as she did. OMG! I told him that I am an American and I speak English and I wanted to speak with someone who could actually speak English in the USA. He immediately transferred me and here I sit, WAITING...All agents are still busy, please hold for our next available agent. FINALLY, got that taken care of...they said my credit report would be corrected immediately. NOW, Im on hold with Equifax. RIDICULOUS...another person who cannot speak English. He tells me it will take 30 freaking days to correct this. Jabber, jabber, jabber...I cannot understand a damn thing he is saying. I want to speak to someone who speaks English in the United States. He says he IS in the US. I demanded that he finds someone who speaks English, NOT jibberish...Does ANYONE else out there feel very uncomfortable that a bunch of foreigners sitting (probably in India) have access to all of our personal information??? Its bad enough that all 3 bureaus and their employees here have it, but why send these jobs to a bunch of damn foreigners??? Just more crap thats being handled wrong in this country.
