OMG it is nearly midnight and I have said a half dozen times today how I love my job. First TMY food vendor mandatory meeting and everyone was so nice and welcoming and community friendly including the fire chief and the electrical guys. I attend this meeting with a Jordanian refugee and an Iskashitaa volunteer who speaks &reads Arabic! I get to hear some of her story and journey- a bit painful. We sight find three pollinated downtown date palms, and harvest Peruvian cactus apples. Then Koor comes with his HCET team to meet me (yes it was Saturday ) after he attended the health clinic at TIARC. The team of four represent Ghana, India, Philippines, and Botswana and they are great! Then I read Emilys weekly Iskashitaa reflection. Thank goodness it is nearly tomorrow when I can start all over to fill my cup cause today it is overflowing! Iska Intern Moira just sent another fantastic reflection to warm my heart. Forgot to mention ran into Startup Tucson, CoLab, and Shannon making today special too.
