ON AKWA IBOM BILLION NAIRA WORTH STADIUM... As monumental as the stadium is (not minding if the average Akwa Ibomite is hungry, or that the stadium has enriched a few people at the expense of the masses) I sincerely do hope that after Akpabios exit next year, the edifice would still be handled with tenderness, care and attention by whoever succeeds him. Government has often been a bad business runners. This stadium has sunk so much money that it should still be standing decades to come. National stadia, National Theatre, National Airports: Abuja, Lagos, etc on my mind.
