ON JUDGEMENT AGAIN! Recently, I read an article about the fifty most evil men in the 20th century (Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, PolPot, Idi Amin, Khalkhali, Saddam, Gaddafi, etc.) who in total were responsible for the torture and death of 150,000,000 people and destruction of our planet.... Then, I remembered the discussion below in one of the posts on we must not judge, who are we to judge and one went as far as saying that talking about these guys is backbiting and thus, equated it with murder as Bahaullah mandates. I then reflected on the fact that as a judge, as a policeman, as a manager, as a teacher, as a parent, etc. we JUDGE and judge on a daily basis on various issues (hopefully not dealing with the extent or depth of someones faith). I then went back to the Holy Writings and spent about four hours reviewing all the relevant quotes via reference.bahai.org, and found out that the word judgement was used 107 times, judge 155 times, and justice 1581 times... and the gist of it all was NOT judging but JUDGING FAIRLY, EQUITABLY, AND SOUNDLY: How many a child though young in years is yet mature in sound judgement. How many an aged person is ignorant and confused. Abdul-Baha, Tablets, p142 ps/I also found out that some of the people who insist on who are we to judge? etc. are among the most judgmental people. Jalal-Khalegh!
