**ON PUBLIC LIST!** In with the new and out with the old! Except, in this case the “old” is a 1 ½ year old pup who has no idea why a new baby means she has to leave her home and sit in a cage at Manhattan ACC. And why a new baby would mean she had to leave just makes no sense since she’s been living with 2 kids all along! And read her owner notes—this is a wonderful dog. She’s active like any pup her age, knows commands, is housebroken and crate trained, friendly to everyone including other dogs, and doesn’t care if you take her food or her toys—facts all borne out during her behavioral eval. She absolutely aced that eval and the only thing the assessor didn’t like was that she jumped up and licked his hand. And Roxy was in great health when she got there. Of course, she’s caught the dreaded “shelter cold” and that landed her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, this gem of a dog is pleading for the chance to live out her life being a member of a family that will stick with her. She’d be a wonderful addition to someone who understands that at 1 1/2 , pups are still polishing their manners. She’s been an inside dog who’s used to going on regular walks. She’s playful, stunningly pretty and just a joy to be with. If you are ready for a wonderful new bff, start working on fostering or adopting Roxy. But you have to do it now—at noon tomorrow, ACC won’t care how pretty Roxy is, how young she is, how full of life she is, how wonderful she is—they’ll just make her gone!
