ON THE ROAD with M’Liss – HEADING TO QUILT MARKET Our trip to Quilt Market in Pittsburgh, PA had a fortuitous beginning! Sitting in the ferry line, leaving our home on Whidbey Island, Michael exclaimed, “There is Vicki!” Sure enough, best friend Vicki eased into a lane several aisles over, behind a large commercial truck. She was heading to Portland, OR to visit family a couple days before her planned departure. We drove on the ferry, went upstairs and I texted her, “Are you on the ferry?” She answered, “Yes!” “Come upstairs!” We had a lovely visit! Back in the car, I sent a text message to daughter-in-law Jamie and son Alexander letting them know we had an important letter from the Veterans Administration for Alexander. Michael and I offered to drop it off at the house. Jamie messaged me back they were at an appointment near the mall we planned to stop at, to pick up a few items for our trip. Soon, they drove up behind us; Alexander jumped out of their SUV, and opened the back door. Roslyn was fussing, she saw me, the biggest smile and she cried out “Grandma!” Saying “Grandma” even better than the first time on Mother’s Day! Her mood changed to glee! We hugged and hugged! Jamie unhooked the car seat and two-year-old granddaughter Roslyn jumped into my arms! She Loves my necklace, Mr. Frog, holds and talks to him, gently touching to her face. Good fortune shined on me today…Friends and Family. Many Blessings.
