ON THIS DAY - September 14, 1904 LANGI LOGAN An Old Murder Revived A Victims Estate estate Memories of the Langi Logan murder were revived in t he Practice court to-day, when an application for Letters of administration to the estate of one of the victims of the tragedy was made. On September 14, 1904, the bodies of Michael and Bridget Waish were found at Langi Logan, and later human bones were found in the ashes of a fire place at the same farm, and some others in a new dug hole near the house. These were supposed to be the remains of Edward Walsh, and were buried by James Walsh, Edwards brother. Property was left to the value of £900, to which Edward Walsh was entitled, but nothing has since been heard of him, though advertisements have.been inserted in the newspapers. A rule to administer Edward Walshs estate was granted, to the Curator of Intestate Estimates on April 24 last, and the present application was by Mr. H. Simpson, as attorney under power of Patrick Walsh and Mary Keaveney, brotner and sister of Edward Walsh. The Registrar of Probates refused the application, on the ground being that there was no proof of the death of Edward Walsh. Mr. Justice Cussen said that he was satisfied that Edward Walsh was dead, and that Patrick Walsh and Mary Keaveney were his next of kin. The application would therefore be granted.
