ON THIS DAY in the ABBA history ... On April 16, 1979, ABBA had a break in their North American concert schedule. Björn and Benny did radio and TV interviews while the rest of the entourage enjoyed the pool at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver. In the afternoon the musicians left for Seattle, while ABBA followed them the next day (Agnetha traveled by car). On the previous night, they had played for the largest audience of the tour. In a sold out Pacific Coliseum, 17,000 people saw ABBA perform a show that had a few technical problems on the stage, but the crowd never noticed this.
