ONCE AGAIN YOU PROVED ME RIGHT Four years back on my journey to Kedarnath when I came across the thousands of people chanting YOU ; I was wondering and asking what really motivated them to tread across such an arduous journey !! Everyone from a ten year old kid toa eighty year old man stooped on his hunch were pursuing their way to Kedarnath , the ultimate abode of YOU- the GOD .. I was on my way to Kerdarnath with my photographic equipment to capture the scenic beauty of the entire journey which provides probably the ultimate of natures abundance . However the other thousands were not like me . They were going to meet YOU and fulfill their life’s dream . While I was in proper protective gear to save my self from the vagaries of nature there were hundreds pf people wearing dhoti and wrapped in blankets were also my travel companion .. The journey was real tough and risky . I have seen people collapsing on the non existent roads but their determination and courage were something cant be described . They were going to meet YOU , see YOU .. It is said that if some one wants YOU from the core of the heart and sacrifices all the material comfort YOU become their protector and no evil can touch them , no harm can scratch them … This year thousands of pilgrims died just to fulfill their zest to meet YOU and you could not protect them . They just died .. Why ? Is it because they deserved that for some of their misdeeds ?? How a ten year old girl can commit a misdeed which calls for such an ultimate punishment ? How a kid and his mother be punished with so forcefully and mercilessly while they were on their way to tough YOUR feet ?? Why this massacre ? How you the ALMIGHTY be the silent spectator when thousands of people were rendered homeless . Who will give the answer ? If this has been caused by the mother nature then don’t YOU feel that it is you who is responsible for this unprecedented incident ( would genocide be the right word ? ) because YOU are the creator of nature … There are no answers to that and only possible conclusion I can draw is that YOU do not exist … Dear GOD ; you proved me right . You are a non existent hallucination chased by innocent people .
