ONE MORE HYDRO POWER PROJECT ~EXCITED !! This trip of mine to Bandipur really made me very excited, proud of my native village and our mission in Bandipur. I had the good opportunity to exchange in different aspects including dire need of water in Bandipur with His Excellency Masashi Ogawa, Japanese ambassador to Nepal, JICA country representative, Mr. Shimizu Tsutomu and many senior Japanese diplomats. Just one day before ICMOD regional director, Mr. David Conniff and his wonderful wife and many from his esteem organization stayed at my Guan Ghar Hotel in Bandipur. I took that both golden opportunities to share about our mission in Bandipur and how we have been helping to revive all the old houses of Bandipur back to its former glory and to help maintain Bandipur’s heritage. This will help to preserve this area as one of the most beautiful travel destinations in Nepal. I took them around few beautiful places of Bandipur. They became amazed by the beautiful views of long range of Himalaya, impressed with the neat and clean environment of the Bazar without traffic, so much of our restored ancestral home and warm hospitality of my Hotel staffs. In the meantime, the Japanese ambassador updated exciting news with me that the Japanese government together with The Asian Development Bank is initiating and financing 125 MW Tanahu Hydro power project near Damaulli, about a 25 minute drive from Bandipur. It will finish by 2020.At least No more black out in the surrounding areas. We Bandipure are already blessed to having Marshyangdi Hydro power project close to us and we merely have half an hour power shortage in a whole day. Hopefully Nepalese we will get rid of tiring load shedding gradually. So excited and thankful to His excellency Masashi , Japanese Government and Japanese people for their continued support and love to Nepalese.
