OPEN CALL AUDITION FOR CANNIBAL! THE MUSICAL! From the creator of South Park and The Book of Mormon, comes the “All Singing! All Dancing! All Flesh Eating!” Trey Parkers’ Cannibal! The Musical live on stage. Raunchy, silly and hilariously funny, Cannibal! The Musical is the true story of the only person convicted of cannibalism in America – Alferd Packer. While searching for gold and love in the Colorado Territory, Alferd and his companions lose their way and resort to unthinkable horrors, including toe-tapping songs! LOOKING FOR PERFORMERS WHO MATCH THE FOLLOWING SPECS: • Early 20s – Late 30s • Any ethnicity (seeking artists of all diverse backgrounds) • Excellent musical theatre skills (seeking strong singers) • Versatile performers with great comedic chops who are improv savvy • Moderate dance skills • Able to work as a Toronto local DETAILS & AUDITION INFORMATION: OPEN CALL AUDITION DATE: Wednesday October 1st Sign in between 9:30am-12:30pm. Equity members will be seen first. OPEN CALL AUDITION LOCATION: Sony Centre, 1 Front St E, Toronto, ON M5E 1B2 WHAT TO PREPARE: A comedic song in the style of the show. Those chosen to move on to the next phase will be asked to cold read a scene from the show and sing with an accompanist later that day. WHAT TO BRING: Those auditioning must bring a current photo and resume (STAPLED). Make sure your contact info (email and phone number) is on the resume. You must also bring the sheet music for your audition song. TALENT MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING DATES: REHEARSALS: Approx. Jan 6th x 5 weeks PERFORMANCE: February 10 (run for 4 weeks + potential extension and hope of a tour.) Those chosen for this project will be financially compensated at standard union rates.
