OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! The Honey Hive Writers Workshop is now accepting submissions for our annual Review! If you are interested in having your work published (thats right, PUBLISHED) alongside your fellow workshoppers, here are the criteria: 1) You have to have attended a Honey Hive Writers Workshop at least once. This is a reflection of what we as a group have accomplished and how workshop has influenced our writing. 2) Your work has to be original. 3) The piece you submit cannot be previously published in print. 4) You may submit writing in any format (poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, monologue, lyrics, script, etc.) 5) You can submit as many times as youd like. 6) Each submission should be no longer than 10 pages each (12 pt, single spaced). Plays or short stories that are longer may be considered under certain circumstances. Preference will be given to shorter pieces. 7) Work should be polished! Minor editing will be done to correct typos, however please submit work that you consider to be finished. If you feel like your piece could use more revision before you submit it for the Review, please attend one of our Second Tuesday Editing/Publishing workshops to have your work critiqued. 8) Do not be afraid to submit! The main goal is to get a representative sample of what happens in workshop, so the more the merrier. Even if your piece is not selected outright, your submission can lead to a dialogue about suggested edits. You can always edit and submit again. TO SUBMIT: 1) Please email two copies of each piece (one as a PDF attachment and one in the body of the email) to sqryblspeaks@gmail with the title WORKSHOP REVIEW SUBMISSION 2) In the body of the email, please include your name and the title(s) of your piece(s). IN ADDITION: We are also looking for book art! If you are a visual or graphic artist who would like your work used in this collection, please submit scans of pieces as attachments or links to where images can be found online. Please feel free to email or talk to me in workshop if you have any questions about the submission process. I am excited to see your work! - Casey
