OPEN LETTER TO JoshAne + KEYpers October 10, 2014 My friends, It’s been almost six months of pretty incredible journey for all of us since April 27: the beautiful start of our Star City rollercoaster ride aptly named JoshAne. Regardless of the how or the why or even the when, we gather to celebrate as one in our inaugural JoshAne Get Together. Never in my wildest imagination, with my age and social status, that in a relatively short period of time the events of PBB JoshAne Edition brought me to this caring, fun-filled community of JoshAne KEYpers and I couldn’t be more happy and proud. This fandom is now a wel-come part of my life: I guess there is always a first for everything. In the spirit of nondisclosure and risk of being made fun, I am an JoshAne fanboy or more appropriately a “fanman” and I will give you a quick background of how my love for JoshAne has developed. I have been an avid Big Brother fan since its inception 14 years ago and study each franchise diligently but I can tell you that JoshAne is a complete addiction: a total wonderdrug. My love-hate relationship with JoshAne started during their second weekly task: “Selfie, selfie, it’s time to selfie”. Specially when Joshua handpicked Jane as the person he “likes” to selfie with but was forced by the others in an almost uproar to another teen housemate. Oh the irony! But day after day, moment after moment, in many times where JoshAne was inseparable unknowing to them not only were memories formed but ultimately history was made. There is simply no need for me to layout each of those unforgettable JoshAne moments that defined this edition of PBB because you remember each of them too. It is etched in our minds and archived thankfully by Mon Mendoza and many others. From then and up to this very event I can confidently call myself a knowledgeable, passionate JoshAne supporter. Also, I can confidently say that there are many more of me with varied reasons but one commonality - our enduring support and connection for JoshAne. So allow me then to say to: Jane thank you for everything you have done. For showing us sheer strength, determination and tenacity. Thank you for smiling when you have every reason not to. Thank you for your energy and working hard every day when you must be exhausted. For proving us the im-portance of trust, patience and consistency in any relationship. Thank you for doing “something” well with such class, elegance and grace, in good times and in bad. For not judging and instead understanding. For showing us your vulnerabilities which makes you human. For your simplicity and not your status as celebrity. For making us part of your dreams and aspirations. Thank you for giving us history worth cherishing. Most of all, thank you for not quitting and showing that “everything takes time - in God’s perfect time”. Para kay Joshua salamat sa pagpapakita mo ng kabutihang asal. Sa pagpapakatotoo sa abot ng iyong makakaya. Ang pagbibigay importansiya sa sakripisyo ng iyong ama at pamilya. Sa lakas ng loob na harapin ang lahat ng hamon ng kompetisyon - manalo o matalo hinarap mo ito ng buo ang loob at walang alinlangan sa iyong kapasidad at kakayahan. Sa walang sawang pagtulong sa mga taong nangangailangan ng atensyon, simpatya, at pagkalinga. Sa patuloy mong mapabuti ang iyong buhay upang maging karapat-dapat. Na ibinihagi mo sa amin ang iyong mga pangarap. Na ayos maging emosyonal kahit sa isang lalaki dahil iyon ang totoo at nararapat. Sa lakas ng loob na aminin ang tunay mong nararamdaman pagdating sa pagmama-hal at sa tunay na minamahal. Sa pagpapatunay na hindi balagid ang kabataan at kakulangan sa yaman upang sabihing may katuturan. Higit sa lahat, salamat sa pag-aruga, pagpapahalaga, at pagmamahal mo sa ating Prinsesa. And to my fellow KEYpers. There are so many contributing variables to what has happened to JoshAne that go far beyond our control. But through all our incredible highs and lows, we’re able to look back for a second and truly appreciate what the heck happened. That as in-dividual supporters we play a “key” role and part of the reason why the KEYpers fandom is relevant. In an age of popularity of social media and connectivity, the KEYpers have not failed to take advantage of it. Thank you for showing how active and involved this fandom is. For showing that we have impact. Thank you for motivating yourselves in creating fanarts, gifs, memes, and all the amazing stuff. For creating joshaneunited where KEYpers and others can converge to listen to music and reminisce. For all those archived videos that makes us remain hopeful and not hopeless. Although I haven’t met all of you it is amazing to know that many lives have come together because of our mutual admiration and common goal. That this community is greater than any one of us. And this community brings an incredibly transformative concept resulting in so much positivity which makes it truly even more amazing. We are the essence of this commu-nity and each others place of support. That in a short period of time, we have accomplished some pretty cool things - planned and unplanned. Thank you for making this inaugural Get Together even happen, in spite of. For making them part of our daily routine. In staying awake until the crack of dawn and staying late to make some form of contribution to further our cause. Thank you for this community’s creativity, enthusiasm and joy, and seemingly endless love and support that continues to inspire and encourage. For making me believe that we will not fade. That we will continue to matter even for each other. That we will stick around until we are directly told otherwise. I realize that we are stuck in our lowest point but I do not have to remind you to cheer up, think of it this way: much of our support for each other has allowed us to stick long enough to realize our goals for us and more importantly for them. It is “ST” to be proud of. My appreciation may not be as important as hearing it from both Joshua Garcia and Jane Oineza, their free-willed recognition matter to us that much, but take some time to look at the person next to you and to those that are currently on social media, those that are not with you physically but with you in the spirit of solidarity, take comfort in what we have accomplished thus far. Thank you for the six months and beyond! I will remain committed and steadfast in our JoshAne or nothing battle cry. Someday soon, JoshAne and KEYpers will truly become one. Let us all be part of another history when JoshAne finally proudly lead their greatest, most effective fandom. But for now, let us continue the good fight. Fight cleanly. Fight with class. Fight with eloquence. Fight with purity of heart and best intentions. Fight dignified. Fight to be relevant. Fight to be memorable. Fight to be noticed.
