OPERATION WE CARE FOOD DRIVE The Fort Polk Chapel and local surrounding chapel communities, are combining efforts to support this years Operation We Care Food Drive. Volunteer Soldiers, staff members and local volunteers outside the Fort Polk community will be doing a Food Drive in partnership with the Local Leesville community for the Holiday Season. Last year chapel communities reached over 4,000 needy Families within the surrounding Fort Polk area. This year Suddenlink is teaming up as well whom will be weighing the food and will be giving prizes to the organization or school whom contributes the most food in weight. Donated, non-perishable items only, can be dropped off up to December 15th at the JRTC and Fort Polk Post Headquarters, Main Post Chapel, Commissary, and Fort Polk participating schools. The food will be picked up at different locations during the week of December 15th. Any members within the Fort Polk community or outside the chapel community whom would like to volunteer their support, any and all are welcome. From 15 - 17 December, volunteers will be needed to assist with sorting the food starting at 8:00 A.M. till 5:00 P.M. located at the Leesville Fair Grounds, 276 H M Stevens Blvd. Leesville, LA 71446.
