OPERATIONS FORUM Thought it was about time that I did a follow up from the mid-year EVANZ conference and the very successful stadium and Arena forum held on the second day of that conference. Do to the very high number of interested people and the venues that we now have wanting to attend the forums and the location of those people, Adam (Vector Arena) and I will be doing two sessions for the next forum one to be held in Rotorua International stadium on the 6th August in Rotorua with a 10.00 am start and the other in Auckland on the 13th August 10.am start venue Waitakere Trust Stadium. This is to encourage people from Palmerston North and New Plymouth or those that would have to travel great distances to attend to get to a closer location near them. South Island people I am hoping to get down there before the end of the year to visit you all and see what we can do to get you and your teams more involved in this forum. I would like you all to send me any issues that you might like to discuss in those forums so that I can set the agenda. I will look at a guest speaker that is relevant to our industry to do a presentation also. I have arranged a guest speaker in regards to documentation of Health and safety and Risk management this will be a presentation of what sort of documentation is required to be populated and signed off to ensure legally we are complaint before we open gates. Andy who will do the presentation will have templates etc available to send to you after this presentation for those that have none or are trying to set theirs up or even those of us who are in the process of renewing ours. Did you know that this group now has a linkedin New Zealand forum group set up by Adam from Vector where discussions can take place on line about our industry, Adam will be telling you all about that in the forums and how to join and be accepted into this group, this will be restricted to only our forum members and not any industry suppliers or service agents to our industry, and believe me Adam and I are getting requests from pro floor to toilets dispenser companies that want to be a part of this group. Please can you pass onto any of your staff members that you feel maybe interested in attending any of the two forums so that we can sort out mornings teas etc. Please remember that these are your forums and we can only exist if you participate in them so we do need your input and ideas to ensure that we are covering what you think is important to you and your venue and the industry as a whole. Please if you are thinking about attending please can you email me so that I can confirm numbers with each of the venues. We already have 10 booked in for the Rotorua forum and would love to see more. Look forward to hearing back from you all and seeing you in Rotorua or Auckland in a few months.
