Ang ULP case ay patungkol sa matinding paglabag ng HAU Management sa collective bargaining agreement sa mga nagdaang taon. Ang strike naman ay naging resulta ng pagtanggi ng HAU Management sa panawagan ng HAUTEU para tuparin ang Mission at Vision ng HAU na TRANSPARENCY AT ACCOUNTABILITY dahil tumanggi ito sa end of the year recomputation sa bawat taon na magtataas ito ng matrikula. Kung totoong walang paglabag sa batas ang HAU management dapat itong maging kompiyansa sa kanyang panalo sa National Labor Relations Commission. Bakit sila matatakot sa apela kung ang kaso ay dalawang beses nilang naipanalo? Hindi tama na gawing kondisyon ang pag-atras ng ULP case sa pagpapatupad ng batas (RA 6728) sa pagbibigay sa 70% share ng incremental proceeds ng mga guro at empleyado mula sa dagdag singil sa matrikula noon pang nakaraang taon (SY 2012-2013). Ayon sa HAU Management ang 70% share ng mga empleyado ay nagkakahalaga DAW ng P20.9M. Ngunit walang kasiguraduhan na ang kwenta ng management ay tama dahil wala itong ipinapakitang malinaw na kwenta at supporting documents. ANO KAYA ANG NAGPABILIS SA DESISYON NG NLRC? Ang mabilis na paglabas ng desisyon ng National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) na itinaon isang araw bago ang September 27, na siyang petsa ng pagpupulong sa Office of the Secretary sa DOLE Intramuros ay lubos na nakamamangha.
