OPT EAD card wrong Valid and Expiry dates OPT/CPT Blast Resume to 2500+ employers via bit.ly/18niNwb I got my OPT card approved on 13th May 2014 and I received my EAD card on 17th May 2014. I see some incorrect information on my card, following are the issues with the card. Other than below information everything else is printed correctly. 1) Though my card is approved on 13th May 2014, the valid From date is printed as 04/10/2014 almost one month back from the date it is approved (approved on 05/13/2014). Why the valid From date is prior to approved date? 2) End date is printed as 02/21/2014, it is less than 10 months. For first time OPT application it should be a minimum of 12 months, though my OPT application is not extension, I got approved for 10 months only and I already lost one month because of wrong valid from date. I took 8 months of CPT during my Masters. 3) If I contact USCIS to correct it, how long it takes? Can I start working with the current card if USCIS agreed to issue new card? I have an offer which I dont want to miss because of this issue. Please suggest me the options I have in this case, I am planing to contact USCIS on Monday.
