ORIENTATION # 1148 : LIVING IN THE AGE OF FREE-CONFUSED-WILL ________________________________________________ There is obviously a part of the brain/mind designed to function as a shock-absorber to handle distraction.. Especially nowadays such part should function at the best of its possibilities due to the immense range of distraction an individual faces on an daily basis.. However, there is also an inward distraction that must be explored, understood and possibly dismantled; this inward distraction is merely the condition of living, psychologically, in constant or almost constant self-contradiction. While the non-western mind, or the antique mind (the mind of the middle age), is usually caught in religious dogmas or specific macro ideas of living and thinking, the western psyche is much more exposed to the so called free will which is, in this modernity, a market of countless contradictions.. By summarizing this fact in short (a bit rhetorically but just to comprehend what we are talking about) : the mind who believes to live its free will, demands freedom without knowing exactly what psychological freedom is and means.. This contradiction leads to (both) confusion and the easy adoption of pre-fabricated models offered by the current society or another, by the culture, by some leaders or books or disciplines and by various pre-manufactured disguises of lifestyles.. Have you ever inquired in the very reason why the more the flag of free will is proclaimed .. the more lots of minds get more and more confused .. Its, indisputably, a contradiction of nowadays .. Isnt it so ? It seems that so many people ask for free will and freedom.. but they do not know what to do and how to handle their own psyche.. The whole fabric of the self-personality is the product of so many contradictory interests and values, the result of so many varying wishes at different layers and labels; and these psycho-identitarian impulses all beget their own psychological opposites. This not monitored network of contradictions shapes the very structure of the me and with no attentiveness toward this big machinery, confusion is pretty much inevitable. Indeed this inattentiveness toward our inward & outward contradiction strangles so often the mind through a circuit and carousel of illusions, escapes and self-deceptions.. which often leads to conflict, brains rigidity or mental dissociative disorders. When this unfaced confusion/contradiction becomes unbearable, what disgracefully so often appears in the brain is whats known as something off.. which often leads to mere insanity. Striving for a status quo, a solid identity, leads to the cultivation of the sedimentation of self-belief, and such sedimentation, (just like all sedimentations) contains and feeds (mathematically) the cultivation of its opposite. Understanding does not come about through the game of opposition, the right and the wrong.. neither through a methodology, which is futile.. Which means that the big deal is not really to avoid contradictions.. but rather to radically understand why they are here within our mind-processes.. To avoid self-contradictions or trying to justify them with convenient personalistic opinions or beliefs.. is to refuse to deal with confusion.. therefore what comes into being long this behaviour can be nothing but the act of increasing confusion.. plus: more inattentiveness, therefore more chaos, more conflict, more nervousness and mist.. _______________________________________ endoffear.weebly/ eofproject.org jessicamystic
