ORIENTATION # 1155 : MODERN BONDAGE ____________________________________ Despite of the mass of issues and confusion around us, characteristic that we all have more or less, I do think that a solid rational thinking is indisputably required today, especially today.. Rational doesnt necessarily mean skeptical; it means psychological integrity from which observation and action spring out.. It means to see what it actually is.. and there is some freedom in being so, despite of the confusion around; there is that personal sense of freedom and passion in thinking clearly outside of the mist of all weird ideologies, superstitious thinking and irrational bubble constantly fomented, particularly nowadays, by the unchained nonsenses that populate the internet.. There is no path to psychological freshness, which is intelligence; there is a continuous exploration, a continuous questioning which no identification at all.. If one undertakes what one believes to be an existential path, a path most likely suggested by someone else, or by a book, or by a sort of conscious tribe whatsoever, then the state of mind that comes into being is a conditioned construct. A construct becomes mere knowledge, a thing of repetition, protectiveness, dependence, which all represent the continuous action/reaction of responses, the ritual of depending of an ideal, a pattern: there cannot be a fresh mind in this way, and self-intelligently-perceived rationality cannot come into being. Accumulation of techniques or notions aimed to think more freshly, does not give the freedom to understand what is actually taking place within our psyche.. The many invented, photocopied or photoshopped paths toward this or that elevation of consciousness, and up to the ridiculous, misty, mazy and messy irrationality of the whole new age movement and the so called spiritual scenario.. are all the invention of confused minds who believe to be on the way to wisdom..; To feed the bondage of a specific existential stratagem or path whatsoever is to cling to inward and outward separateness and distraction, A mind who clings to a particular existential path whatsoever, whether religious or spiritual or sectarian or ideological, is a mind in business with a sort of rigidity in which what comes into being is a certain bondage made up by illusions, conditionings, traps and limbos : its an imitating mind, a follower of something.. How can such mind possibly find out for itself, intelligently, rationally, then collectively of course, what the freedom of thinking outside of irrationality and illusions actually is ? There may be an everlasting mantric act of believing in some sort of spiritual progress or existential achievement.. but in imitation, there cannot be flowering of individual reasoning and thinking out of beliefs and dogmas..
