OSUNs VICTORY It will be interesting to hear what APC has to say with regards to Ogbenis victory in the Osun gubernatorial elections. Considering the APCs utterances and actions in connection with the military presence in Osun State, the DSS surveillance, the Police cover and the presence of other security agencies (actions which the APC judged to be decidedly pro PDP), I think that both Ogbeni and the APC must be shocked that they were allowed to win the election. The PDP and other parties may have lost but it does seem clear that GEJ and INEC emerged as heroic victors. INEC had stated its case management strategy for the elections. It fulfilled every bit of it. In far away USA, GEJ affirmed his commitment to honest outcomes at the Osun and other forthcoming elections and before departing for the summit, he had stated categorically that the era of imposition and election manipulations is over. Osun provided the confirmation for that declaration. Indeed, happy days lie ahead for this great country. It is gratifying to note that in spite of APCs screams and exclamations (some of which were patently subversive), the Federal Government provided the security ambience under which the good people of Osun State went about, peaceably casting their votes and peacefully monitoring the outcome. Yesterdays victory was victory for the people of Osun state. They spoke their mind clearly with their votes but it was GEJ and INEC who made it possible for their votes to be counted and be counted
