OT TIP (July 19, 2013) POWER BROKERS (Part 2)… (“Global Deal-Makers”) (For all Hot Tips go “MOVIE CLOUD” & “LIKE”) -------------------------------------------- POWR BROKERS are DEAL-MAKERS and several months ago at “AFM” (The American Film Market”), a confab of 2,000-3,000 Dealmakers (Buyers & Sellers & Financiers) from around the world, who come together in a swank hotel, on the beach, in Santa Monica, California for one week to hustle each other and hype the alleged billions upon billions of dollars in capital accounts, associated with Hedge Fund Managers, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Sheiks, Billionaires & Web Moguls, who want to play with movie…before they die, that they allegedly have access to. Handled “Kings Speech”, “Magic Mike” & “Looper” 3) LUC BESSON: Mega-Hyphen, owner of EUROCORP and CITE du CINEMA (France) Financed Liam Neeson’s “Taken 2” and Robert de Niro’s “Malavita” 4) BILL BLOCK: President QED International. Raised 8 Figures amount of money at Cannes from Media content to make 5-7 Feature Films/year. 5) OLIVIER COURSON: STUDIOCANAL Sr VP; finances only $50 Million projects. Last two are one “STARRER”, a David Heyman Production, and “NON-STOP” from Joel SDilver’s company with Liam Neeson starring. 6) PABLO CRUZ: President, CANANA (Mexico), He might be my favorite, a Mexican who understands story and marketing and a total comprehension of how to handle Mexico’s ARTICLE 26 funding program. 7) ARMEN DISHDISHYAN: Head of CENTRAL PARTNERSHIP (Russia), is becoming Moscow’s #1 Distributor with deals with Summit, Dreamworks Animation and Paramount. You want Russia. You want Armen. 8) SIDONIE DUMAS: CEO of GAUMONT (France), who just sturck gold with last year’s “Intouchables”. Is now financing high profile character driven English language stories 9) JOE DRAKE & NATHAN KAHANE: Owners of GOOD UNIVERSE. These 2 former salas agents for Mandate Films is now financing Spike Lee’s next movie “OLDBOY” (Korean re-make) and John Turtletaubs comedy “LAST VEGAS” 10) MEGAN ELLISON: President of PANORAMA MEDIA. Financed/Produced “THE MASTER”, “KILLING THEM SOFTLY” and “LAWLESS” and has learned to control content and be a Distributor & Foreign Sales company… Plus, her dad is Mr Ellison, the Mega-Billionaire, owner of Oracle… So she can do whatever she wants…and she has talent. 11) DAVID GARRET: Head of MR SMITH ENTERTAINMENT, left Lionsgate, formed Mr Smit, and made a deal for all of DreamWorks films for the Global Market 12) JESSICA LACY: Senior Agent for Independents at ICM. She has made over 20 sales & deals at Sundance, Cannes & Tribeca last year for artists like Mark Ruffalo, Peter Weir, Cate Blanchet, David Mamet, Barry Levinson & JJ Abrams 13) PHILIP KNATCHBULL: CEO of CURZON ARTIFICIAL EYE. In England this is the leading film distributor for Independent & Art House movies. 14) WANG ZHONGHEI & WANG JONGJUN: You want CHINA? Then you must do something with the above brothers who own HUAYI BROTHERS. Again, start “Googling” or “Binging” and find articles about the above 14 Power Brokers and/or Deal Makers; then with that knowledge and contact details, plus, your SCRIPT, who knows what might happen.
